The Site Setup section of the Administration Area allows System Administrator Users to manipulate the various variables and settings used within Codrey.

[edit] Core

Core settings are referenced heavily throughout the site.

[edit] Admin Protocol

If HTTPS has been setup on the hosting side, and you wish to make the Administration Area accessible via HTTP, then use this option to force Secure HTTP. Make sure your web host have setup HTTPS properly before changing this - otherwise, this could break your admin area!

[edit] Approval Level

This refers to the page edit approval process. By default, 1-Tier is the approval level set. This means, all pages and articles require approval by a Content Approver/System Administrator before they can go live.

2-Tier is a secondary option, which involves have a secondary King Approver user approving all changes after the Content Approver before they can go live.

[edit] Description

The description of the site or mission statement of the company. This is used in the meta tags of the site.

[edit] Keywords

You should provide a comma seperated value list of about 10-15 keywords here. These keywords are inserted into the keyword meta field of all site pages. These keywords are used to some degress by search engines when indexing and categorising your site.

[edit] Page Specific Templates

This setting relates to whether your site uses page specific templates. This setting is only useful if the templates and templating code has been setup properly.

[edit] Public Protocol

Should the standard HTTP protocol be used or Secure HTTP. Make sure your web host have setup HTTPS properly before changing this.

[edit] Rich Text Editor

Which type of Rich Text Editor would you like to use in page management, and other areas of the site.

[edit] Shortname

A short word, to identify this site from any other sites in the database.

[edit] Template

This is the directory name of the site template.

[edit] Title

The full website or company name used throughout the site, and in the page title meta tags.

[edit] Email Settings

Email Settings relate to emails sent out from the website.


[edit] Contact Us Address

This field should contain a correctly formated email address. This person will receive emails of the inquires made through the `Contact Us` webpage.

[edit] Email Override

Should all email notifications be sent to another email address? (Leave blank for notifications to be sent to their designated recipients).

[edit] Miscellaneous

Various other variables.


[edit] Empty Text For Event Block

This text is displayed in the event block on the home page if an event does not exist. Please use single quotes for html attribute values.

[edit] Enable Flash

Should the flash components on the home page be enabled ?

[edit] Right Column Block

The block of HTML displayed on the right hand side of all pages of this site.

[edit] Use Simple Page Controls

By switching this option on, the simple page controls in Page Management are enabled.

[edit] Page References

Options to select which pages should be used by Codrey when linking to things like the home page, search page, and so on.

[edit] Contactus Pid

The content page to link to for the Contact Us link in the templates.

[edit] Home Pid

The page to display when a user first visits the site.

[edit] Legal Pid

The content page to display Legal Notices - linked from all pages.

[edit] Search Pid

The script page to display search results - linked from all pages.

[edit] Sitemap Pid

The script page to display search results - linked from all pages.
